Question -     Is there air conditioning in the cottages?

Answer -     No.  The cottages are well insulated and seem to be considerably cooler than outside during the                                              warmer days of summer.  There is usually a breeze.  Finally, it is very unusual for it not to cool                                              down during the evening hours which makes it comfortable for sleeping.  We have considered air                                             conditioning, but since guests are coming in and out constantly during the day, the air conditioner                                          would be running all of the time and our goal is to keep the price affordable.

Question -     What is the lake like?

Answer -         Wolf Lake is a spring fed lake.  The water is very clear.  The deepest area (on the other side of the lake) is                          about 40 feet deep.  The area in front of the cottage is shallow with a very gradual drop off making it ideal                              for kids.  The bottom is firm (not murky).  One of the best places for fishing is right in front of the cottages.                           You don't have to go far to catch fish.

Question -     Is it an "all-sports" lake?

Answer -         Wolf Lake has a "no wake" ordinance before 11:00 a.m.  and after 7:30 p.m.  So, people are free to boat,                              water ski, jet ski, etc. during the day.  However, in the morning and evening it is "better" for fishing, watching                          ducks, or spotting a green heron because there is less activity.  Last fall we even videoed a bald eagle                                  soaring around the lake for over 7 minutes.  You will see pontoon boats, speed boats, sailboats, personal                              water craft, canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and paddleboats.  We provide a rowboat and paddle boat with each                              cottage.  You are welcome to bring your own boats.  There is a public launch sight on the other side of the                              lake.

Question -      Do you have a dock?

Answer -         Yes.  However, it is not for "playing on".  It makes it easier to get in and out of the boats and it's a nice place                          to fish.
